My Last COS EVER!!!!!

Last night was my last Celebration of Sound (my home show) ever!!!! I'll never ever march a home show again!!! I mean, I plan to march the band onto the field next year but it won't be the same because I won't be performing in it. All I'll be doing is watching it like the people in the audience. Even if I join a marching band in college, it won't be the same, I mean it's COS in the town that I've grown up in and know so well. And it was also my last time to escort a competing band onto the field. Being a senior seems to entail things like last pictures, performances, competitions, ect.
I got to escort Danbury with Matt. Of course, he didn't really realize what escorting a band entailed since it was his first time. I was the only one up there to meet them and everyone kept going "where's your buddy?" And I had to say was that "my escort buddy is missing in action". I was going to yell at Matt if he didn't show up but he did finally show up-just before Danbury had to leave the warm up area. Leave it to our lack of communication that neither of us knew what salute we were going to do-well, I actually had one in mind but Matt didn't.
The performance went pertty well and I heard that we got a 75.8 but I'm not sure if it's correct. If it is, it might mean that we would have gotten fist place if we were actually competing instead of competing in exhibition (but I don't remember what the other class 4 bands got so don't hold me to it). That would be so cool if it was true because last year we would have placed 2nd if we competed in COS. I have to tell about a stupid thing I that I did. See we have these screens for props and Mr. Secchi wanted voluteers to bring the props onto and off the field. Rebecca, Whitney, Adaline, me, and a bunch of other people volunteered. We all thought that it was only for COS but then Secchi goes, "you will do this for every show" and we were all like "NO!!!!" The screens aren't heavy or anything but still...
