Life's Shape

Have you ever asked people what shape life is? If you have, you'll probably find that many of them say that life is a circle. Why a circle? Well, a circle is never ending and always connected; they must see that life is a never ending cycle. (That must be why people exchange wedding rings, as a symbol of their never ending love for each other.) Other say that life is a line because a line has no clear starting and ending point. You don't know when you'll reach the end of the line and you don't know when you'll reach the end of your life either. Others will say that life has no defined shape because you can't predict what will happen in your life so you can't predict its shape. Of course, there are those who say that life is a polygon of some sort, complete with its sudden turns in different directions and that each is unique to each person. But life could also be a piece of cloth on a loom with an incomplete design as each fiber becomes interwoven with the others. (Wow, that was poetic) Then again, life could also be a book and each person, each event, everything that happens to you will write a few words, a sentence, a paragraph, a page, or a chapter in the book of your life. So, which one do I think life is shaped like? I think that life is that incomplete cloth sitting on the loom. Each fiber represents every person, every event, and everything that you have ever met or has ever happened to you. Each individaul fiber helps create the design and finish off the cloth.
So, what shape do you think life is?
